Treatment services available are as follows: Transportation to and from treatment On-site child care or child care vouchers Medical services, including physical exams Pediatric care for children Intensive Case Management services Drug testing and screening as needed Did You Know? Women alcoholics are much more susceptible to cirrhosis, alcoholic hepatitis, and alcoholic dementia. Female drinkers (even 2-4 drinks per day) have increased risk for breast cancer. Female addicts' death rates are 50-100% greater than those for male addicts. Nearly 70% of female AIDS cases are drug-related. Using cocaine increases the risk of low birth weight and premature delivery, roughly that equivalent to that caused by cigarettes. Alcohol causes more neurological damage to a developing baby than any other substance. Most FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) children will require a structured, sheltered living situation all their lives. 75% of child welfare cases are linked to alcohol and drugs.
